anti-paparazzi-clutch!
.
A must own item for any celebrity who hates the attacks of flash photography from paparazzi! This anti-paparazzi clutch is designed by Adam Harvey.
"Photos? No, thanks! In response to the rise of paparazzi I created an anti-paparazzi device that communicates the desire to NOT be photographed. When the device detects a camera flash it responds with another flash that obscures the photo. (patent pending)"
A limited edition of the clutch will available in early spring 2010! And while some celebrities would appreciate owning this clutch, it is of no use for those who loves having their picture taken when strolling down the streets! And while I am not a celebrity, you wouldn't hear me complaining if somebody were to throw one of these clutches my way. It is definitely on my wishlist! ;)

Coco Chanel
I just watched the first (out of two) episode of the mini-series,”Coco Chanel” that chronicles the life of the style icon, featuring Shirley MacLaine on DR1 (Danish channel).
And it made me think… Coco Chanel is especially known for her perfume Chanel No 5 and the little black dress. However, after watching the first instalment of this mini-series, it occurred to me that she was a woman ahead of her time. You see girls wear the boy blazer daily, I am sure. If you stroll down the streets of Copenhagen and come tell me you can count how many girls you have seen wearing the boy blazer with both your hands, I wouldn’t believe you.
Chanel was from a poor family. Her wealthy boyfriend Etienne Balsan didn’t invite her to dinner with his mother, because she wasn’t as wealthy as him, she did not wear the fashionable clothes of that time, but instead, she made her own! She may not have had the money for the right fabrics, but she had a passion to lean onto, and with rejection of the period, she used what she had and wore it with confidence. She used male attire that was worn by men on daily basis, it was something that she could easily get her hands on. And while people stood in her way blocking her, she walked in male sports attire as if nobody stood in her way.
Doesn’t this quote say it all?

Kate Towers ...
is a self taught designer who is inspired by nature and romance, and it clearly shows in her collections. Her collections should never be labelled a season, the pieces are perfect for any season, and for any girl who has a deep desire for romance. I want the dresses pictured below to move into my closet!

On the 20/03/09
"So, sing me something soft
sad and delicate
or loud and out of key
sing me anything
we're glad for what we've got
done with what we've lost
our whole lives laid out right in front of us"
