It has been more than a year since the November 9, 2011 first-ever national EAS test, and the final results are now in: 83% of broadcasters successfully received the alert. And on a whole, the FCC and FEMA concluded that the nationwide EAS architecture is “basically sound.” The agencies plans more national tests — but the FCC says first there’s work to do.
